A friend came to dinner for the evening. She came with what is one of my all-favorite desserts - homemade cream puffs. YUMMMM!!! Well, as good as the cream puffs are, what really makes them is the homemade chocolate sauce that she brought in a wood fired medium sized pitcher she purchased from me long, long ago. Now, this took me back lots of years. That homemade chocolate sauce recipe belonged to her mom, who I used to call Aunt Frieda. Aunt Frieda was a wonderful women and really good to me so when I went out to the studio the next day, it was only right that I start making some of those medium sized pitchers which are perfect for more than just coffee cream. They’re great for maple syrup, salad dressing, gravy, but above all, they are perfect for Aunt Frieda’s Homemade Chocolate Sauce.
So, that’s what I’m calling these from now on, Aunt Frieda’s Homemade Chocolate Sauce Pitcher. I hope you enjoy it.
Aunt Frieda’s Chocolate Sauce Recipe
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
½ Cup Butter
2 Cups Confectioners Sugar
1 Can Evaporated Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Melt Chips with Butter. Add other ingredients. Cook for 8 minutes. Add Vanilla.
These pitchers are glazed with a Shino glaze.
